I’m Nina Kim, a mixed-media artist creating bold, playful worlds where memories turn into symbols.

Three years ago I picked up a paintbrush again.

Not because I had a master plan, but because life had taken an unexpected turn. With two small kids and a completely new chapter ahead of me, I needed something that felt alive and creative.

So I started making things again.

What began as a way to clear my head quickly turned into something much bigger.

My work

I create bold mixed-media artworks that turn memories, animals and everyday symbols into playful visual stories.

My work is colourful, experimental and layered with marks, textures and patterns. Animals and characters often appear as recurring symbols — fragments of memory that slowly grow into their own little world.

Growing up between Europe and Africa has shaped the rhythm, colour and energy that runs through my work.

Why I create

Because creativity shouldn’t behave.

My work is about experimentation, curiosity and letting ideas run a little wild.

That’s why I call it my creative jungle.
